Remembrance Day Activities and Ceremonies in Calgary This Year

Commemorate those who serve by attending ceremonies or services or watching a theatre production. Click HERE for all locations. Our family will be attending the ceremony on Memorial Dr NW at the Field of Crosses right next to our office. Looking forward to maybe seeing you there. This year is the 10th anniversary of the Field of Crosses and the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the First World War.

November 11th: A Remembrance day ceremony at 11:00 a.m. will be held at the Field of Crosses. The commemoration will be one to remember and will include:

10:00 a.m. 300 soldiers of the 41 st Infantry Brigade will march by the Field of Crosses.

10:30 a.m. 100 members of the Calgary Police service and other local service units will march to the Field of Crosses and take up position on the east bound lanes of Memorial Drive.

10:40 a.m. Remembrance day Ceremony commences.

11:00 a.m. An artillery gun of the 20th Independent Field Battery (Lethbridge) will fire a signal gun at the exact moment the First World War ended and commencing the start of 2 minutes silence.
